The first part of the workshop will be showcase my use of graphic organizers in math that align with Common Core content standards. Some of the graphic organizers I have developed and will display-along with student work- can be used for intervention strategies. However, some of them have rubrics embedded into them to that allow students to self-assess. The second part of the workshop, I will break the audience up into small groups. I will give each small group a math problem that they must work together to develop either a graphic organizer that can be used for remedial instruction and/or a  simple self-scoring that students can use.
